Confirmation

Grades 8-10

In addition to meeting weekly after Sunday service, Confirmation candidates participate in special monthly themed group meetings with church leaders. In the spring they visit Camp Calumet, in Freedom, New Hampshire, for a confirmation camp. There, leaders and chaperones teach content based on Luther’s Small Catechism. Along with youth from other churches, HoP kids worship, take part in evening “wide games,” enjoy good meals in the Lakeside Dining Hall, and build community while they learn and grow in faith. Youth are confirmed in their sophomore year.
