Grades 8 and 9

Youth take part in confirmation camp experiences at Camp Calumet in New Hampshire. There, leaders and chaperones teach content based on Luther’s Small Catechism. Along with youth from other churches, HoP kids worship, take part in evening “wide games,” enjoy good meals in the Lakeside Dining Hall, and build community. In addition, several weekends (Friday evening and Saturday during the day) each year focus on themes and provide more opportunities to learn and grow in faith. Youth are confirmed in their sophomore year.
