During the summer, we’ll hear two readings from scripture in worship.
The first is from one of the prophets who, during the times of the kings of the northern and southern kingdoms, had much to say to the all-too-often faithless leaders of God’s people.
The gospel reading comes from Luke’s gospel and includes many stories and teachings about hosting and hospitality as Jesus journeys from Galilee toward Jerusalem.
